Ecodesign
ECODESIGN is the study of products throughout their life cycle, in order to determine the environmental impacts at all stages and reduce them to the minimum possible. In the study of the product, all the stages of its life cycle are analyzed; from the obtaining of the raw materials, its processing and handling, the manufacture of the product, its packaging, transport and distribution, use and finally its end of life.
The objective of Ecodesign is to provide products that require fewer resources (raw materials, electricity, fuel, …), that generate recyclable waste, that equal or improve the quality and efficiency characteristics of their predecessors and that maintain a cost level that makes them competitive in their market.
At the end of 2020, the UNE-EN ISO 14006:2020 standard, Environmental management systems, was published. Guidelines for the incorporation of Ecodesign, whose purpose is to standardize the development and certification of Ecodesign throughout the world.
Eco-designed DTS OABE products are identified by the symbol:
SCOPE
DTS OABE has an Ecodesign management system in accordance with the UNE-EN ISO 14006:2011 standard for the activities:
Design and development of biocidal products for environmental health, food hygiene, wood protection, rodent control and disinfection and complements for rodent control.
ECODESIGN INDICATORS
DTS OABE once the ecodesign process has been carried out, it monitors all new designs and redesigns of ecodesigned products. In this monitoring, a series of factors called Ecodesign Indicators are taken into consideration, which are the following:
